Interior Design and Customer Experience Partner
Amie is a hospitality creative specialist who focuses on concept curation and development, detailed interior design, FF&E sourcing and specification and branding. As well as turning her attention to the smallest creative detail to make a concept truly unique, Amie’s focus is on connecting every element within a project to deliver clever concepts through integrated design and functionality.
Amie recently relocated back from Dubai where she was Head of Creative for Ansonia Concepts, a boutique hospitality concept development and design agency.
Her favourite project to date is Molecule Restaurant Lounge & Gallery which Ansonia Concepts opened in 2016 in the newly launched Dubai Design District where it soon become the area’s go-to location. Leading this full concept curation and interior design project Amie adopted a collaborative approach using different local craftsmen to bring her vision to life. Part of the space was left raw to allow for curated installations, while the ‘Bistronomy’ food concept was a first for Dubai and part of a changing movement for more affordable yet trendy eateries.
In 2014 under the Ansonia Concepts umbrella, Amie entered into a successful partnership with the prestigious Conran Shop, launching Conran Contracts, their hospitality furniture sourcing division, into the Middle East. This partnership saw Amie work with an impressive list of local and regional designers as an extension of their team to deliver beautifully curated design throughout the region.
As part of Amie’s creative role she has also worked on many pop up concepts for influential events such as Fashion Forward (Fashion Week), Downtown Dubai (Design Week), Meet D3 (Dubai’s Design District), Boiler Room and All Day I Dream (DJ Dance Events).
Amie’s career stems from her appreciation of good food and a keen eye for design, but it was the launching of her own fashion concept store in her early twenties that made her realise her passion lay in concept creation.
